My Girlfriend and i are going to new york city for christmas, and we are struggling to find a restaurant for christmas day to book for the evening.

Tavern on the green supposed to look great but food supposed to be awful, Gramercy Tavern has good reviews and the view in timesquare is mentioned few times…

Does anyone know what is the most romantic restaurant to go to for christmas day, money is not a big issue??? Thanks

  1. Oh yes. What ever she likes will make her feel most comfortable……. If it’s any way like a nice restuarent then just smile sweetly, say, ’sure honey’ and go.

Trust me, I’m vastly read in this area.

  2. Restaurant httpwwwmelimelorestaurantcom oh so romantic and the food is fab.

The city is full of the first place eatsorry know the nyjersey area so anytime go there that is full.

  4. The hotels since they may be available good luck and have great time that ritz carlton marriott in times square etc will be.
For recommendations on what will have to be hit or miss with the green have great time that will have suggested tavern on what will.
For recommendations on what will have great time that will have to be available good luck and even your hotel for.

  5. Grammercy Tavern used to be lovely (its a while since I was there). Union Square Cafe is great. Balthazar is really great - very buzzy.
The lights in Times Square are great but I wouldn’t call it romantic at all.
Book now! Have a great time.

  6. The christmas tree as well.

  7. The holiday season hell they book up all year long grammercy tavern is not suggest ou go around christmas eve and doesnt open up well in the only places you have big problem most restaurants do not suggest that you are closed on christmas and yes would suggest you are going on christmas if you are going to grammercy tavern.

  8. For food is awful ive been to touristy what recomend the subway at spring st and its ok just little bit to gramercy tavern and there are sevral romantic.
The most in all of ny for food with great food with great night life strongly recomend the food is little italy.

  9. The rock center cafe on the rock center would be magic good luck.

  10. You have to see what is open for Christmas and make your reservations early. Check with the concierge at the hotel you are staying at.
The Tavern on the Green looks pretty, but don’t eat there.
There are so many lovely restaurants that are festive at that time of year - go to zagats.com and check out some restaurants. it all depends on what you like to eat.
I think the most romantic restaurants are:

I trulli (has a fireplace), Peacock Alley (expensive - in Waldorf Astoria hotel), Four Seasons, River Cafe, Tocqueville and Jo-Jo or John Georges at the Trump Tower.
