Icon Written by basement blogger on February 6, 2009 – 10:29 pm

Rosendo says: I was at cataloochee ski slope in maggie valley, NC. I was wondering if ski slopes have a emergency plan if the chair lift breaks down and leaves people stranded…I could see a ‘cherry picker’ being used but the ground is too uneven or in the case of trams too far down…

Kendra says: I bought my ski poles last season (in a rush) and after about 2 runs noticed that they were about a couple inches too short for my liking.
Is there someway I can make them taller? Maybe take the top grip off - somehow - without ruining them?

Darcie says: I went to a Chinese restaurant recently that served (like other restaurants serve bread) pickles along with a dish of crispy wafer-like things. The pickles looked just like regular dill chips but had little red flakes in the mix. I should have asked what they were at the restaurant but I didn’t, and [...]

Icon Written by basement blogger on February 3, 2009 – 10:59 am

Laura says: I think it is wrong. The only reason why I want to work for them is because you can ski for free if you do. I have an ethical dilemma, I guess. What do you think?

Icon Written by basement blogger on February 1, 2009 – 5:07 pm

Joanna says: I have to write a restaurant review for my college writing class. Has to be about 1 1/2 pages (double spaced I presume). I went to the restaurant, and I took down notes and made sure to answer questions such as “reservations? cuisine? price range? wine list? etc.”. But the problem I’m having [...]
